Institute has been constantly involved in imparting hands on practical training on variety aspects of mango, guava, aonla, bael pertaining to their propagation, production, pest / disease management schedule, post harvest management protocols, food safety standards for the farmers, developmental workers agripreneurs etc. across the country. Many farmers, officials from Government, NGOs, students, researchers and entrepreneurs have been trained on various aspects of fruit production. The Institute has good facilities for training such as air-conditioned lecture hall and auditorium, audio-visual aids, well equipped laboratories and hostel facilities. The Institute has also a well furnishedTraining Hostel for participants of different Human Resource Development Programmes being run by the Institute.

Apart from sponsored training programmes, extension wing of the Institute has also extended the technologies through other appropriate technology extension modes like demonstrations, Kisan Melas, exhibitions, gosthies etc.
